Carbon fiber has gotta be the best thing to have your body made out of some exotics have full carbon fiber builds and some race cars do 2, maclaren F1 comes to mind when i think carbon fiber. Its light and stong.

Especially if your 1st gen's hood has skin cancer, throw a cf hood on there if you dont want it repainted.

Carbon fiber hoods look great just they way they are. I would never paint one to cover it up.

i bought my carbon fiber hood because of the way it look...........its a bonus that it weighs less than the stock.

I think the unpainted hood would look gone on a Talon because of the black top. It's all subjective anyway. Do what you like. It really only matter what you think of your car.

if i ever get moved back to the smaller fiberglass plant im gonna make a fiberglass hood and it will be gel coated.

it's great that everyone has an opinion about whether or not it can be ( i like not) but the fact that answers the question is....yes it can be painted...and still be lighter than the stock hood. Of course paint don't weigh a whole lot....but it does add up.

yes you can paint it, I beleive you can make the wave pattern of it visable to if you just mist it, but im not 100% sure on that.

I myself thinking of going for red talon, black roof, black cf hood, black rims. should look good and clean.
