Launched it at about 5500rpm with a very little clutch slip. Tires didnt slip at all and was a great launch except for the large noise in the rear when the half shaft broke. LOL, time for a 4 bolt.

This is where the 3 bolt is weak. The 4 bolt has a lot thicker and stronger input shafts. For now I will just put another axle in but I'm going to source a 4 bolt very soon.

To get the piece out you just take off the other axle and push it out with a rod, or I could also drill it out but I dont want metal shavings getting inside the gear box.

Doesn't the center pin have to be removed if you want to poke a rod all the way through the carrier?
Still alot easier than drilling it out. Might try a coat hanger to similar item first though.

I dont think so, If I remember right you can just use a screw driver or something you push it out.

Dont be lazy tape zip ties:toobad: Take that beast apart and put on another one.

Snow doesnt stop AWD LOL. We could have 4 feet of snow one day and by the end of the next its all melted. Fun of living in the Rockys.

Also I hope you being sarcastic about not being lazy because everyone else was being sarcastic.

been there done that ROFL Shit sucks when you are far from home and you think it will make it home only for it to start to wobble really bad about halfway there. Mine was still inside the pumpkin but not attached to the splines.

Perhaps just broke the shaft?

$60 30 min fix

Where are you able to find any replacement rear axle for a DSM other than the dealer or driveshaft shop? Both of which aren't $60
