I have a 92 eclipse gs n/t . I got it to crank finally and it will idle , but it idles very rough , between 1000 and 2000 rpms . I dont know if it is because the car has been sittin up for a few years and needs to be run some , or there is something else goin on . I need to get it runnin better quick so i can use it to drive to school , i have been without a vehicle since our 62 ford broke down

I have already drained the tank and put new gas in it , and its got a new fuel pump and spark plugs in it , the fuel filter is clean too because i blew through it and i felt alot of air out the other side

2.0 , the plugs were gapped when they came out the box , but ill check em again just to be sure. so do i just need to let it run some and let it work itself out?????

Run it till it gets to operating temps without overheating. If it still idles rough then try taking it around the block to open it up. Then do some basic checks, timing, compression, check fluids, vacuum hoses, pop out the ecu n check for leaking caps. Still wanna do all this if you want a good reliable car.

When i get to school monday i will try to drive it around the parking lot some to work the bugs out , all my timing , compression , fluids , and vacuum hoses are all good , it hasnt been run good since the fuel pump went out a year ago. Before that it hadnt ran for about 6 years , because it was wrecked when we got it

I dont think its anything major , just one of them simple little things that im overlooking
