Help with turbos

i was just wondering what kinds of turbos are there (i.e. T3/T4,T28 etc.) and what are the differences?

There are about 5000 different kinds of turbos. They all have different sizes, of all kinds of different parts.

That's like asking "what kinds of cars are there?" It's a VERY broad question.

Your best bet to start researching turbos is to go to the 1/4 mile time listing, find the time bracket you like i.e. 12's check out the cars that are running 12's and see what kind of turbos they are running, then go and use the "search" to get more info on a specific turbo, gauranteed ever version of every turbo that every company makes has probably been talked about on this site. You can also check out the product reviews section. Then if you have a question such as T-28 vs 16g similiarites and differences, and it hasn't been discussed before (hard to believe) start a new thread and I'm sure lots of people will chime in with their personal experiances.
