If you are not experienced with 420a's or not sure of what your talking about please dont post. I have a 95 rs with a fully built motor and turbo kit. My car has everything you can thing. All forged, fmic,t3t4,all fuel upgrades. Heres the problem. 1st probelm was my 0 ring went that came from the high pressure fuel hose onto the fuel rail. I replaced that. Now heres the problem. Sometimes the car will just crank and crank with no start. Other times it will crank and finally start but run rough for a few seconds. Aftert thatt time it will smooth out and run good for about an hour after driving for a bit the car will start to miss and have a big loss of power. Sooner or later it will just shut off. I have new plugs coil pack etc. If you are experienced with the 420 please help me out. Ive been trying to figure it out for weeks but no luck. Thanks
Mike

Are your plugs plugged in the right order? So silly, but I had 1 of mine criss crossed. Fixed that and it worked. If youve gone over the car numerous times and found nothing, condifer your ECU. I fried 2 of mine so far because of faulty taps. (1 was my fault the other was from 2 years ago when I had someone else do it) Take your ECU out and try it on a friends car and see if thats the issue.

My fuel pressure is at about 35 as of now. Thats when it runs and idles. My injectors are 30lb Accels and my fuel pump is a 255. I have a vortech sfmu. And im running about 12 psi. MSD coil pack, ngk plugs,Crane Fire Wires. I made sure of my wire setup and it is all good. I wish I had a friend with a non turbo but no1 has one that I could check it and I dont want to just buy one and it end up not being the problem. After putting new plugs in after on start and a drive about 10 miles the plugs woudl get a blackish tint to them right? Just wanted ot make sure. Thanks for anyhelp. please post asap as I can go and try ti now. Im downstairs in teh garage working on it now so any help woudl be great rigth now. Thanks
Mike

How about checking your throttle plate... make sure it opens and closes all the way. youll need someone else to help you do that. (make sure the car IS NOT running.)

i dunno

Checks out fine. Thats not it. Keep it coming. Ill keep goin down and tryign whatever is posted. If anyone is from Northeast pa or willg to drive thatd be great. Thanks
Mike

what about your boosted fuel pressure?

Check your EGR wires too I had a similar problem when I melted a couple of wires..

I have no idea about my boosted fuel pressure. I only have a gauge in the engine compartment. Ive been cheking all wires in case they got melted or wet but as of now I got nothing. Keep the help coming. Thanks
Mike

put a fuel line between the gauge and the fitting and slide it under your hood next to your wipers, so you can read it during boost.

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

You have a 95 right, I hope you are not using a missing link (map altering device) with the SAFC?

Im going to need to get the car running before I can check fuel pressure under boost. I havent changed the fuel filter since I had the car. I thought of that but it would be weird how it works sometimes and other times it does not. Yea my car is a 95 and I have a missing link but I do not use an safc. *turboed420a if your not busy i/m me its [email protected]. Thanks
Mike

Today i went down and the car started right up! Whats the deal. I took the crank sensor harness off and kept it off over night as well as took the ecu out over nigth and now it runs. I hav ei on jackstands so I dont kno if it will run alright??

I would take the missing link off, you don't need it for a 95 and even 96's

reset your PCM again and change that fuel filter
