ok heres my problem. i just picked up a galant vr4 copy, ( galant gsx with complete vr4 everything). and it was running alright just bogged down and last owner said it was gettin to much fuel. but it still ran and drove alright just misfired a little. then i let my dad test drive it and it came back all messed up. wouldnt even stay running. here is my fuel air set up. im running a 2g maf conversion, safcII, 660cc injectors and keydriver ecu. i need help and directions on what to do to get it back running fine. please help is needed asap.

First thing is to get your hands on a logger, theres no real way to find out exactly whats going on with your fuel trims/timing/misfires/etc without one.

*Boost leak test
*Compression Test
*Log 3rd gear pulls

ok, no body in the area has a datalogger i can borrow, and its got the stock afpr. im guessing its at stock presshure. the highs and lows is set at -10% for low and -5% for high. the ne- readings is 50 for low and 80 for high. i dont know wtf to do LOL.

You need to boost leak test for sure.

You now have 3 ways to adjust for the 660's...the maf-t, chip, and afc. The next thing is find out what kind of compensation you have in the Keydiver chip and where the maf-t is set. If you have more than one device trying to compensate for the injectors, then you can create problems if they are working against each other.

You can pull the ECU and check out the chip. I believe there is usually some sort of ID on the chip to track down what it's set up for (maybe even has injector size written on it). If it has some sort of ID number, the email Keydiver and find out what the chip is set for. If the chip is set up to compensate for your 660's, then zero out the afc, set the NE points to 30 & 80, and set the maf-t to stock injector size. You do you have a boost gauge, right? Turn the boost down to the low teens. Then get a logger before you try to adjust anything else.

Have you heard other DSM's at idle? Does it sound worse than those? A lot, if not most, have lifter tick. It can be pretty noticeable.

You could have jumped timing if it's running so badly. Get a timing light, or take it to a mechanic, for a timing check.

In the mean time, do everything that's been suggested above. Leak test, and straighten out the series of fuel compensation devices.

ive been threw 3 4g63 powered vehicles soo far, and this tick is ten times worse than any other... im going to get the timing light today. i just fully rebuilt the head from valves being bent not even 100 miles ago.
