Im almost done completeling a full engine swap from a n/t 4g63 to a turbo 4g63 but i have no wastegate for the car right now and i was just going to by a mbc. Which kind are recommended because i dont want to buy one thats going to leak and act crazy so i want some experience advice with mbcs. :dsm:

I've used a Joe P with no problems whatsoever. Just don't buy a cheapy off of Ebay, I tried that and it wouldn't control my boost at all. I now use a TurboXS MBC and have had no problems with it.

I'm confused. You do realize that you MUST have a wastegate...right? The MBC is just going to control the wastegate. If you just wrote that in a confusing manner and realize that then....I second that the Turbo XS is a good unit. I've been running the Turbo XS HP MBC for some time and it works great. There is actually a nice Turbo XS dual stage one on the classified section for the same price as the HP is new. Worth looking at.

I have the waste gate actuator (the circle thing under the turbo), but i dont have a wastegate soleniod, ( the thing that plugs on the aircan.... I didnt think that was needed, is it? And since its starting as a n/t theres no wastegate wiring going into the ecu. Im retaining my n/t wiring harness like mavaskys thread and im just adding the 5 extra wires that the turbo motor has that the n/t doesnt and everything suppose to work fine..... But Do i need the whole wastegate solenoid plug in or anything?? )

Search for a Voodoo MBC on ebay.

They are availible in various styles and colors. Each comes with a variety of features, and a cheap price to compliment them.

I personally use the JoeP IL series boost controller and it has done nothing but wonders for me. Holds boost perfectly and is SUPER simple to install and adjust. Hope this helps.

what mbc do you recommend more out of the hallman and the joe p mbcs? The joe p is cheaper but it looks like it has less quality. But idont know.

The Joe P is a dual ball design, the Hallman isn't. The hallman comes anodized in colors, is big compared to the Joe P ones and comes with a kit with a hose, plugs, bracket, zip ties etc. The Joe P one comes with the controller alone. Joe P is not less quality. I personally would go with the Joe P over the hallman.

Also ... That ^ Up there was my eariler post about the wastegate issue. I dont have any form of waste gating in my car well at least no solenoid all i have is the actuator under the turbo... Will the actuator plus the mbc be enough to run my car fine, or will i still need the wastegate solenoid and whatever yada yada comes with the stock system???

so if i buy the joe p will i still need to buy a kit with the hoses and ect.? Andhow much boost can you max out on a joe P?
If you buy a Joe P, you'll need some 4mm hose, a T connector and 2 vacuum caps (one for the turbo and one for the intake pipe. If you buy the hallman, all this comes in the kit.
