What's wrong with the XS FMIC kit that everyone uses?? Should be about 300 shipped. Check the Tech Guide or the huge thread that you'll find when you do a search for "ebay fmic".

The pipes come with the kit. You can buy it directly from XS from their website but it is listed for $600 if I remember correctly. There used to be a group buy where you could buy it for $300 shipped and you can find the e-mail address in the bible thread, but don't ask about the group buy because group buy threads are not allowed.

I read that thread and alot of people seem to love it and its cheap. i read though it can be tricky to but on in some cases. But for the money and how nice it looks (pretty much the great price) its the best buy.

Hey I actually got done helping install the XS fmic today. My friend won it off ebay for 270 shipped. Let me tell you first off damn it was huuuuge. Looks very aggressive behind the bumper. At first site it was very well put together. To me it looks like the kit was made for a GM maf because the pipe with the BOV flange was really short so we reused teh stock upper ic piping. We also didnt use the L-pipe the kit was made for a downfacing turbo.so we had to extend the lower pipe and do some fabbing. However teh Tbolt clamps very good quality and the silicone couplers too. It was 4ply silicone nice and thick. The welds were pretty nice too. The biggest headaches were extending the lower pipe, finding a spot to put the coolant overflow, cutting through the rad support and making the dump tube fit since the bov sits at a different angle. Other then that well worth the 270. So nice im getting the same kit and selling my current fmic.

I would say save up and get a good one.... i have a sbr kit on my 2g and it's perfect. bolts on good perfect with no hard modification. if you buy a front intercooler and try to custon your pipe. you'll be spending a lot too. and it's not as great.

i also have a sbr race on my 1g and i can't say anything but good thigs about it. i haven't seen the design of the xs kit, but im pretty sure it isnt short route like the sbr one(not that is necessarily bad seeing that you have to hack up the car for the sbr) but i think alot of people like the warm fuzzy feeling of going with a proven company. btw, i also have a xs ss manifold and o2 dump which for the price seem to be pretty good. i did have to fill and smooth out some of there welds but nothing major

The XS Power core is short route and many have had better success with this FMIC kit than the Greddy 24r.

Yeah, but liam_mcmahon has a 1G and the XSPower 1G kit utilizes the long-route piping. I also have to agree with the others that the 2G XSPower FMIC kit is awesome :D

the kit comes with a 1g flange, all you have to do is drill 2 holes in it and the greddy will fit, use the gasket as a guide to trace the holes.

Yeah, but the FM's with both tanks on the same side are used for better cooling efficiencies, but they will heat soak faster... but the FM's with the tanks on opposite ends are rated for higher CFM's, but they have more "stagnant air" at the bottom of the IC and less cooling efficiencies... I have talked to alot tuners that have actually fabricated different types of ICs, and they told me from thier (and mine) personal experiences what are the best ICs, and they said something like the Spearco FM's and others that have the end tanks on the same side... but that is my own opinion, just trying to help you out...

If you paid electronically (PayPal for example), they should provide you with a FedEx group tracking number within 24 hours of payment. They're all shipped from North Carolina so I would say you're looking at 5 days to get it to California.

I love my ss autochrome fmic. Ran a SRT4 tonight, got home shortly after, felt my outlet pipe and it felt ice cold! Compare that to last week on my smic which was always hot as hell no matter how light I drove.
