HELP with my tranny!

HI, my 90 eagle talon tsi awd has a weird tranny problem. The previous owner said it was the clutch but i think he was lying. The car does not stay in gear, its like there is no tranny there at all. I have heard problems with the tranny slipping out of a few gears but this one doesnt stay in any gear. My friend told me that there is a place in New Jersey that rebuilds very cheap. He said they will do pretty much anything for under $1400. PLEASE if anyone knows the name and phone number of this place it would be great!!!! He said he thought that is was called something....racing. I really need information on my tranny and this store. HELP!!!

for a rebuild u should prob send it to shepard racing. can you hold the stick and itll stay in gear? my 3rd pops out and its just fine if i slam the pos in 3rd and hold it with just enough force to hold it still. sucks but it works until i forget or ease it into 3rd and itll grind like its makin coffee :thumbdown

we've came across this probem before believe it or not check that all the axles are fully into the hubs and tranny. If they are not the tranny wont catch and it just shifts through all the gears and wont stick in them as if the car was off
