I'm having trouble getting my low fuel trim stablized. I'm using 3" GM MAF and 2.01 MAFT. My low fuel trims were maxed lean at initial settings (139%). I richened up the idle knob as directed and that helped (car feels like it has more power).

Problem is, the low fuel trim keeps fluctuating from as low as 86% to about 116%. I can't get the sucker to stay still so I can get an accurate reading.

Anyone 1G tuning with MAFT have some advise?

Thanks,
Steve

Kyle,

Thanks for the response. I thought it had to remain stationary, not fluctuating. Is is just the low fuel trim that fluctuates? My mid and high trim remain constant (98% and 102%).

Thanks,
Steve

It's probably not the MAFT.

After installing the MAFT I was hitting fuel cut big time, because I hadn't even upgraded my injectors. I switched back to the stock system for now and am not hitting fuel cut right now.

The MAFT was trying to get the fuel trim right, and was having trouble doing it because I didn't have the right mods to even be running the MAFT. I have a fuel pump sitting at home, and am waiting on the injectors, then I'll put it back in.

I was messing with my MAFT the other day and my low FT started doing the same exact thing. For the longest time I couldn't get it to budge at all, and now I can't get it to stop flucuating. This is with V1.3, I have to get of my lazy ass and install V2.1 sometime.

Give it a few days for it to get settled down again. Whenever I made changes, I noticed it fluctuated for several days, then all of a sudden, it would stay pegged or move only slightly. That is until I messed with it again.

My low is just fine it does the same as yours(86 - 116) but my mid stays at 30 then i give it gas and it will max itself out. then my high is at 60. This is after I switched to fine tuning mode. Any sugestions.

The mid can't be 30, it isn't able to go that far. Either your logger is screwy, or you are reading something wrong.

I think maybe you switched to fine tuning mode and zero'd out all the knobs, then you switched back to regular mode and forgot to move your AUX switch back to where it's supposed to be (probably on 1) instead of on zero for fine tuning initial set up, which is causing you to run pig rich. I did that before and my O2R was cycling rich as hell....but yeah, I would double check where the hell you got that "30" from that you posted about, i've never seen anything that low.
