Help With A 91 Eclipse

Okay, I found this 91 Eclipse for sale for $500. The only problem is that the one of the heads is blown. I'm getting the car soon, but I'm a newb when it comes to DSMs. What kind of engine can I swap for it? What would you guys recommend for it? I have no clue where to look for engines for this car.

Well first off that car only has one head, its a four cylinder. It is a 4G63 block which means its the same block that is in turbo dsm's. I'm not sure if you could drop a 4G63T into it just because i'm not very sure about how the wiring would work. You would definelty need a new ecu if you were going to try. Try posting in the non-turbo forum for some more answers.

I am going to guess that you mean one of the cylinders is blown. As far as a swap goes you have two options, Rebuild the n/a motor but build it to handle a turbo. The other is to swap in a 4g63t, either way it is a ton of work.
