ok-
does this seem right? logging some WOT pass's i got these readings and not sure if they are right..
first off, i have 0 knock count doing these.
o2's were at .90 and timing was at 15 degrees.
shouldnt i be getting more timing in there? check out my mods, you can see i have a 2g mass, so my afc is set at +15 on high map.
is my o2's too high? like i said, thats the readings i got tuning specificly to get 0 knock, which is what you want on a 1 g, right?
thanks for any and all responces-
Dave

around 800celcius . now if i run it leaner, it starts to pick up knock....
what about the timing? shouldnt it be pulling more?
Dave

i was noticing your running a 2g maf, you have high settings on your afc too? im at +15 across the board on high thr setting, running stock fp..just curious

I have my base FP at 44 psi and I took the fuel out on AFCII WOT (-7% to -1%). my lowest timing was 17 deg at 7000rpm with 90 ECU.

Bodyman - How much boost are you running? I didn't see any kind of upgrade to the intercooler on your list. My guess is that may be too much boost on pump gas. Try to turn it down a little and then lean it out some more. Should get a little better timming from the less airflow the ECU is seeing.

you should be closer to 0.. check your base timing and make sure it's set properly.. i usually tune pump gas to hit around 845* C at the end of a 3rd gear pull

im running around 17 psi. and yes, i still have the smic. with all my mods i shouldnt have any problem i would think running that much psi.
with race gas ive run 22 psi, but wasnt logging then.
am i starting to surpass the side mount? would it actually be faster with a little less boost so it got just a few more degree's timing?
yo- how you getting away with afc timings in the neg (-) on high thr ?
ive never seen anyone with it set in the neg, your the first.
should i bump up the FP, that would richen it up and i could lower the afc settings abit... just an idea.
thanks everyone for your input
Dave

ps- i get killer timing just cruising at 75mph or so, i stay at a steady 37 degrees. around 700c. thats ok, isnt it?
really appreciate all your suggestions guys!

I don't know how I'm getting away with it. but I can't even get the car to ping on flat 0% via AFC so I just kept taken out fuel until it started to knock. I have a stock 90 ECU. that could be one of the reason. base timing is 8-10 deg on my setup.

This hit me when I was driving. I have my static fuel pressure at 44 psi since my 550's are rated 43.5 psi :thumb:

THAT would explain it..that way you get more timing too, not sending so much of a modified signal to the ecm... as for the other guys chiming in about being in the negative, when you run a 2gmas, it flow over 30% more than the 1g unit, so you drastically have to bump up the fuel.
its extremely rare that someone with a 2gmas in a 1g car will be neg.
+10 to +30 or higher is the norm.
Dave

Also, i wonder how high i can bump up my FP before it starts to get silly.
i believe its at 39 psi right now. i think im gonna actually move it to 42-43 to start. Im sure that will bring my afc numbers down, which will intern allow more timing during WOT.
Dave

huh...i wonder why i have to have mine set that way to get 100% on my fuel trims..low, medium and high.

fuel trims are low throttle stuff... once you get on it at all your beyond what the fuel trims control.. ignore fuel trims if you're trying to tune high settings
