Help .... What ecu can I install in my car

I have a 93 talon non turbo 2.0 5 speed
number on ecm is md166255

Can you members tell me if the ECU has to be the same part number as the one I have.
or will any 1g non turbo 2.0 work for me

Stick with the MD166255. It was used on both the manual and automatic federal 2.0L NT cars from 91 to 93. The other two federal versions will both have issues, the 90 will need pins swapped and the 94 will have CA style emmisions. The MD166255 will also be the easiest to find.
