Help??wastegate actuator

I've just bought an old 14b and the actuator arm is stuck at a point where the flapper is kept slightley open. I hook up a b-ball pump into the vacuum line and gave it some air and it does move up but will not allow the flapper to shut tight when the air release. Does this mean that the actuator is bad. Is there a fix?

Any help will be appriciated.

Disconnect the arm and make sure the gate closes all the way. If so, the actuator is either bad or a wrong one (arm too long). You can pick up an used one any dsm shop that sales turbo's. I've an extra one I picked up when I thought mine was bad, pm me if you want it for $10.

The flapper opens an closes smoothly. Seems like actuator arm is .75cm longer. Maybe do to thermo expansion or just bad actuator.
If you have one extra in working condition lying around I will buy it from you.

This came off my 16G, I believe they're the same. I thought mine was bad and it turned out to be boost creep. PM me your address, I'll let you know the actual shipping is when I get to work tomorrow. Let me know how you want it shipped, I take paypal.

you can put washers in between the actuator and the turbo to pull it back some.
