Help w/ MAFT...........

well , lewroe's car is up and running but first off i AM NOT real familiar with this MAF Translator..... im an AEM EMS junkie. He's having a little touble getting it dialed in at idle...

here are the main mods:
880cc inj
3.0" GM MAF
gt32 turbo
SAFC2

the readings we get from the logger are as follows:

rpm--- normal / o2 ---- .84-.88 / o2 trim ---- 100! (wont move) / fuel trim low --- 81 (fluctuates)

it runs stupid rich, even when we go to lean out the AFC..... and will not build boost at all ...

switch settings are/ 1-off , 2-off, 3-off, 4-off

does anyone have some base setting they could share with us to get us started i have very limited documentation of this unit.

btw: Ive been told that the MAFT DOES NOT take well to any injectors over 660cc , is there any truth to this ??

I would zero out your SAFCII and tune it with the translator first. Then if you need fine tuning, do it with the safc. Go to www.fullthrottletech.com/forums and look down for "DSM MAFT Support". That will help you out A LOT.

thats what we tried but EVERY thread i read keeps going back to having TOO LARGE of an INJECTOR ....... ?? If need be we;ll just get smaller injectors.

What fuel system mods does he have?? If you Base Fuel Pressure is wrong, you will have a lot of problems getting the ecu to even out your fuel trims.
