Alright I'm not sure what to make of this, hopefully someone does. It's on my 93 Talon TSI It started about a week ago everymorning early in the morning on my way to work i coudln't get my turbo to spool for the first 10minutes or so til it seemed the car warmed up suffecitently. I've been running around to much to worry about it, i never had any problems when it was "warmed up".
saturday mid day i went to start her and it kept stalling out immediatley or was hesitating, i went to take it for a drive and everytime i'd come to a stop or try acellerating from a stop it'd stall, and i couldn't get my turbo to spool the entire time, probably a 45 minute drive. now when i say i cant get my turbo to spool, i mean my guage is reading its in boost and its right with the rpms, but i have absolutely no power from it and it sounds horrible. i've had problems with my turbo spooling only a few times but its never lasted like this. i cant drive anywhere, i could barely climb the mountain back to my house.
I'm also throwing a check engine light. I tried to reading it using a voltimetere and on pins 1 and 12 on the connector down by the fuse block. using a digital voltimeter and trying to translate it to paper in realtime wasnt easy but when i tried to compare my results to the codes in my book, it looked like it threw almost every code listed, I have no idea how this could be. i figured it was irrelevant because i didnt see how i threw 10 sensors but if you want the information i'll go back out there and get it down again.
I'm not sure, any advice would be greatly appreciated i have no other ride to work right now and i can't seem to figure this one out. Thank you!!

Pull the ecu out and check for leaking caps and a damaged circuit board. Thats sounds like the problem if you threw that many codes. Eventually, it will get to the point where it wont even crank up.

Good Call, i should've takin the ecu reading more seriously. I assumed if the ecu was bad i would get a constant high voltage 12-13v. It's been years and years since i've worked with microboards but to my knowledge i dont know if its a capacitor that "melted" looks more like a transistor, melted everything around it, the boards slightly chared, i don't know if it's salvagable yet. i included the best picture i could take with the little digi i have/ either way it seems reasonable that that's my culprit. I've built pleanty of boards this simple years ago, i don't know how hard it would be to get the parts for this though or if itd be more feasable to get a new one.

I coudln't get the picture uploaded from my drive or from a website.. i put it up on my geocities

Yeah its definitely no capacitor that melted. from the reasearch i did i couldn't find anyone else out there that had their ecu melt here?? I dont know what the heck that means. This is an eprom ecu, i'd like to salvage it if at all possible. but i cant find anywhere where i could get the electrical parts i need to rebuild this. debating if i should goto a junkyard and pick off the transistors i need, and replace the capacitors and the couple resistors that got burnt while i'm at it. but i'm concerned why that chip got fried there... anyone with any ideas?

i have been having the same problem am going home today to look at the ecu and i tell you what i find,

Thanks for the link, i hit a couple more electronic shops. i found the one transistor i need m5269l.. the part i'm having problem finding is the "green box" to the left. looks like a power convertor of some kind. it also looks like where the "fire" started. its serial is 68k100 ncc.. i'd imagine its standard on just about every 1g ecu, thats why i was thinking about picking up a junk yard ecu
