OK I'm almost done with my 16g install... Now just gotta put my SBR FMIC kit in tommorrow. Hopefully it's not as long as it took me on the 16g. I'm a first timmer so hope it went good.

OK now here's is my issue from the 16g install... My stock hose from the T-25 that connects to my Greddy profec B unit. Now were would i put that line to. I know that the hose ACTUATOR gose back to the "OUT" of the profec b. but can't seem to put the other hose. Member this is an old school PROFEC B. HELP you guys. thanks.

i'm not so sure but the hose that use to connect to my t-25 turbo. there is two lines. one from the actuator and the other from the turbo on a 2g eclipse. now the 16g doesn't have any plug for it. can i just drill a hole on the j-pipe and connect it? reply. HELP

Depending on where you got your J pipe, there might or might not be a nipple there. If not, I would put one there.

Are you using the stock j-pipe because is should have a nipple. Im guessin on the t-25 you have to use a new j-pipe. If the new j-pipe dont have a nipple drill and thread a nipple in. Also dont forget to prime your turbo before starting it.

There is a fuse you pull out and crank it up for a few seconds. I forgot which fuse, to make sure do a search. That's what I did when I was just about to start up my car after installing a 50 trim. Just search under "prime".

ok well i got a j-pipe with no nipple on it at all i tried to T into my bov vacuum line and the wastegate still wont open it boosts 21 psi all te time i thought my wastegate (its one of the knock off turbos laugh all u want pulls nice). But i thought it was my wastegate not being able to open just cause the arm wasent adjusted nice but my mechanic told me that it is becuase i dont have a good vacuum connection ting off the bov is this true? Do i need the nipple off the j-pipe if so where do i get the nipples from? cause i cant blow my motor boosting 20+ psi thanks

Yes you should install a nipple on the J-pipe and use that as your boost source. Not too sure where you could buy a threaded nipple locally, I got mine from dejon as part of my kit. I'm sure they would sell you just a nipple, remember to use gasket maker for a better seal. You could buy a nipple from your local hardware store and weld (or JB weld) it on too. Be sure to get the right nipple size for your vaccum hose.

Never tee into the CBV ('bov') line. You want as fast, accurate actuation from that line as possible, and teeing into it, especially for a bleeder boost controller or a ball+spring with an anti-pressurelock bleeder fitting will slow it down, not letting the excess charge bypass as quickly as it should, and causing undue wear on your turbo, likely leading to early failure.

Install a pressure nipple on the compressor outlet elbow, if not the outlet of the compressor housing itself. And DEFINITELY JBWeld on the new nipple in addition to tapping/threading. I had one that was just threaded in (with a little RTV to help it seal) and the damn thing literally blew out of the compressor outlet elbow entirely one night.

Here is what you do to remedy the problem since the TD05 doesn't have a boost source like the T25. Go to your home depot store and buy a 1/8-28 pipe fitting nut. I actually used a 1/4 to 1/8 reducing fitting (Cost $0.60). I then trimmed the length of the nut so that it was only as long as the 1/8 thread and trimmed off the extra 1/4 pipe threading so it doesn't extend too much into the j-pipe air stream. Then take the boost source off of your old T25, it is a 1/8 nipple and is threaded with a 1/8-28 pipe threading (Cost FREE).

Cut a hole in the J-pipe big enough to put fitting nut in, but not larger than the outside of it. scratch off the paint on your j-pipe to get a metal to metal contact. Weld the nut to the J-pipe. Paint the nut and welding so it doesn't rust. Then using some RTV or teflon tape on the 1/8 nipple from the T-25 screw it in tight

Presto, for 60 cents you have a boost source and in any location that works best for you. Just requries some work.

Note: Don't use brass as brass can't be welded. I used galvanized... I have been soaking it in Aircraft Stripper to get some ofthe galvanizing off. Galvanizing can be toxic when heated/welded... so use ventilation if you cannot it off and pull a clinton and don't inhale.

EDIT: forget Home Depot... I went to Menards. Home depot is going non-metric or atleast a couple in my area are for what ever reason. Menards has it.... home depot does not. Also try Ace Hardware.

thank you for that is my mechanic right about not being able to use the blow off valve source or is he bullshitting me and just using that as a excuse cause he didnt adjust my wastegate arm?

If you do a search at all you should have gotten threads with everyone saying not to use the BOV. Do like everyone is saying and tap the J pipe to get a good pressure source.

Good luck :thumb:

you guys rock thank you i think im gonna go the j-pipe way hahahha, ill let u know how it turns out cause i crashed my car yesterday into the back of somwhon and ####ed my hood up and shit AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
