  wtf?

i swapped cables since i popped out of 3rd gear and couldnt adjust it. (ytf would there be an adjust for the side to side and not the up down cable?) anyways..... i got the cables swapped after some stupid little setbacks and adjusted them as best i could following that haynes book. now all gears seem a lot noiser than i remember. and as soon as i push in the clutch wow! there goes the noise..... and hell 3rd still pops out  :thumbdown . if i bent the one arm on the tranny trying to get a stuck bushing off could that be why? or am i just a dumbass who cant center an eye over a rod? why the hell does 3rd still pop out? hmmm i was gonna go blow a big chunk on some gm synchro since this mobil1 syn is crap, but now wtf is the point if my tranny is just gonna blow up in the street? (IS THAT A POSSIBILITY?!) :| what else could cause the noise? i sprayed a hole lot of liquid wrench and wd40 and stuff at that bushing and had a nice puddle under the car from it, could that have dried something out? man and here i thought id fix it so it wouldnt pop out and switch the fluid and tell the 2nd grinding to piss off, and get my new isc so it wouldnt kill. then id have a nice car! but now what a new &U#QY&%*( tranny?

o btw when i got the car off and just sit there shifting around it seems to go in all the gears a whole hell of a lot easier now. (?) o and even reverse goes in easier.

defiant you know a lot about trannies? *crosses fingers in hope of the magic answer that i was too dumb to figure out*

The bearings in that tranny seem to be "on their way out" time for a new one. I have been through 4 trannys my first two did this. The second two exploded from the force I exerted on them

why so damn suddenly? i mean it pops outta 3rd and grinds 2nd but wtf now it does this? asshole i bought this car from said the tranny was "great"

My talon did the same thing. One day I noticed some noise and it started poping out of gear, within 4-5 days it was gone (didnt help that I tried to drive it 75 miles, Do'h!)

Bearings....

You can try to adjust the cables at the bottom of the shifter, and check to see if the bracket on the tranny is loose or bent. You might also change the fluid and see if that helps. You might buy some time, but if its the bearings, its about to go.

Sorry.

GOD DAMN SON OF A ####ING bi*** WE BOUGHT IT FROM SAID THE TRANNY WAS GREAT THAT ####ING GOD DAMN LIAR  and that family knew my mom and some other people in my family.

last ####ing time i ever trust anybody again.

it makes the sound in neutral but if i push in the clutch it goes away. is that a ####ed input bearing?

####!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well here goes all the rest of my money and now my old man will spaz more than i am and ####ing freak out.

i put in gm synchro today...... what a waste but i guess 20 isnt so bad when im gonna have to pay atleast another 700

hmm its kindda like a clicking noise in neutral at idle, then a nice whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine when i get going :thumbdown : unless i got me a supercharged tranny (####).

BUT WHY DID IT START RIGHT AND I MEAN RIGHT AFTER I SWITCHED SHIFT CABLES?!!?!?!?!?!?!?

i also tightend the ebrake a tiny bit cuz it was fairly loose

hmmm could it be some stupid crap like speedometer cable? i dont think my spedo works in reverse (it should, shouldnt it??)

dear.... 500 for the tranny and then another 425 to put it in plus the cost of a new clutch....

can i drive this till it blows or will it wreck the engine? whats going to happen? the bearing seizes instantly revved up around 5k? and pistons blow out and hit me in the head?

now im really down :(

Get triple a and drive it till it breaks thats what I do. I recommend installing it yourself its actually pretty easy to do as long as you have a spare set of "raggedy clothing". :D

tripple a will just tow it then right? if i put full insurance and drive it till it dies would they cover it? and i pay $80 a month now with bare minimum, wouldnt it be like $2000 then?

Insurance isn't a warranty, they will only cover accidental damage.

It shouldn't be too difficlut to put in yourself, look around for local trannies, you can find em cheap.
