Ok, I got the old turbo off. So I'm trying to put in the new one, I got everything all in, except the small oil feed line on top of the middle of the turbo. I took that off because, when I got the new one, the oil lines were completely different. So now, I can't put it back in for some reason. It just won't thread! So I need your help guys!

i put it on before i put the turbo on the car.

its super hard to to get threaded and tightened when the turbo is on the car... just take off the turbo.. doesnt take long :)

also you decide to keep messing with it on the car then make sure its not attached to the oil sending unit first. the more free it is the easier it will be to get it started on the turbo

I did take the Turbo off and now the line just hangs there, I don't know where to take it off so I can thread it onto the turbo. Now what?

EDIT: I looked around and saw where it goes, but it's one hard line with rubber surrounding it. Any clues?

view that thread should help you some, i had similar problems. I tossed the crappy stock oil line in favor of a SS one. A LOT easier to install/use.

with my stock oil line, i removed the bolts holding it to the block, bent it all the way down under the car with the turbo still attached, and removed it that way. If the SS line isnt a option, i would do the opposite to reattach it. :thumb:

ok now youre not making any sense.

assuming youre using the stock line lets start from the beginning.

couple of pointers:

firstly you want to visually line the oil feed line up without the turbo on the car. this way you know its position. you will know what end goes on the turbo and what end connects to the oil sending unit. remember there is an attachment that connects to the block located on the feed line. this should help finding its position.

secondly, once you have the postition, keep the position in mind while you screw the turbo end on, while screwing it on make sure the position stays but dont tighten it, youll need some play. however you took it off the car, manifold(top) or no manifold (bottom) put the turbo back on..

now lineup the oil line with the oil sending unit(the other end) then make sure the part that connects to the block lines up, then tighten it all down.

not super hard, hope it works out
