I recently purchased a 95 GS-T becuase my 96 GS has 2 cracks in the long block and needs a new engine.

The original plan was to get a damaged car to pull the engine and drop into the GS. But I ended up getting a good deal on one that is the same color as my GS and runs great.

Only problem is it was hit on the driver side and I want to replace the door and the front fender with my GS's.

Does anyone know how to remove the doors and if it's difficult? I just poured all my cash into getting this car and I don't know how much longer I can stand driving around with the door busted.

Both cars have power locks and windows the interior is different and I hope I can just swap those, but I'm not exactly sure how to remove the door and fender.

If you also have advice on removing the rear fender let me know I should do that one as well.

I'm planning on working on this tonight, if you're in the LA area and want to come help out let me know!

For the fender there are 4 bolts under the hood, one towards the top of the panel inside the front of the doorjam, 2 on the bottom of the panel behind the wheel and a bracket that bolts to it in the front above the bumper. The fenders aren't hard to remove. For the door, just unbolt the hinges and disconnect the wiring plug and it'll come right out. Not hard at all. The hard thing is going to be trying to get the gap perfect between the fender and the hood and door, which may not even be that difficult.

For the rear fender you're going to have to remove the weatherstripping and window, then drill out all of the pinch welds around the whole panel up until it gets to the front of the door. To replace it, it has to be completely welded back in. That is a very difficult thing to replace, and if it's damaged badly most insurance companies will just total the car.

thanks for the advice,

ok 2 hours later the doors and front fenders are swapped.
front piece of the side skirt now does not fit.

I put the damaged door and fender is now on the GS but when I was removing it I messed it up even more so now it just hangs off of the GS.
Oh well, I'm just keeping it until I have enough to swap out the engine or possibly keep it for parts for the GST if they are usable.

apparently there are a couple bolts from the GS that don't line up with the GST either strange.

It's too dark to see anything anymore I just hope nothing falls off tomorrow when I drive to work.

Also the messed up door doesn't close on the GS unless you lift the door and slam it in.

My door is like that as well. My car has a dent very similar to the one in the picture . I found out that the brackets where the door mounts are also damaged, so that could be your problem as well.

ok now i have another problem.

I swapped the doors and totally forgot the door lock is from my GS and now I use 2 keys to for the GST one to get in and one to start the car.

Is there any guide on how to remove the locking mechanism? The power door lock is also slower than the original one and didn't work with my keyless entry on the GS.
