help!!! need info, just blew rod through block

well here is my situation. i have recently sent a rod through the block and i need to know what i should do. It is the stock 7bolt and i have a 6bolt block sitting at my friends house. i need to know if i could use the stock 7bolt pistons on either my stock 6bolt rods or my eagle hbeam rods for the 6bolt in the 6 bolt block? i also have arias pistons but they are .40 over and i dont really have the money for any machine work right now.

i know alot of people do a 2g piston 1g rod combo so i dont think there would be a problem. not sure if there is any machining involved.

No they weill not fit without machining. The 2g pistons have a smaller wrist pin and the pin end of the rod must be narrowed as well

Best setup for a seven bolt is Evo 8/9 pistons and rods. You can get them for under 200$ used. Just get pics of them. Check evolutionm (google it not sure if it is .net or .com). A new set of rings and a hone on a junkyard block and your good to go.

The pistons essentially drop in. No machining work is required. You need to do anything special. Maybe clean them if they are used.

2g Pistons on 1g rods is basically a six bolt upgrade. Evo rods are just as strong as a six bolt rod. And the pistons are partially forged. (Heads are forged, skirts coated or something like that).

Unfortunately, rings for those evo pistons are about $180 from the dealer.

well thing is i cant run the 7 bolt because thats the block that i just punched a hole in with the rod so i am tryn to fing out what combo i can run with the 6 bolt block. i have everything i need for a fully built short block but i dont have the money for the machine work. at this time all i have is 6 bolt rods and 7 bolt pistons with the 6 bolt block. i have other pistons but they are way oversized
