Help my poor car

ok here's the problem...i've been working on my 90 talon for over a year now, finally have the new motor in and now i can't get the car to turn over. there is a clicking noise coming from the MPI unit and it goes away as soon as i turn the key onto the on position. When i turn the key i hear a loud click from either the ecu or MPI unit and another click from underneath the drivers side front panel. I've charged the battery and the clickin noise still won't go away. Someone help me out here, any info would be appreciated

I would see if the motor is getting spark. You may have forgot to put a fuse or something in, so I would search all around for that first.

How old is the battery and how long has it sat? If a brand spanking battery sits for a year it will probably go bad.
