Hi guys.. I picked up my new oem parts from the local dodge dealership and my tensioners and idlers look great.. but my Timing belt isnt the Mitsu Belt Im use 2 and hearing everyone run.. instead it came in a Mopar box with mopar on the belt .. part number 5096330AA ... Im scared 2 put this on cuz its a fresh built motor.. I had parts guy check it again and he told me that they switched 2 this belt..... HELP guys.. ive searched forums and found nothing.. Maybe someone could tell me what a non turbo 2.0 chrysler motor has for part number on it as im questioning this severly...

Why be scared.. Mopar and Mitsubishi come hand and hand. You have a factory replacement belt from a dealership, and you are scared to put it on because its a Mopar belt. Put the timing belt on and you will be pleased!!

Hey Thanks for the reply.. Im not questioning the mopar belt brand. Im fine with that as you say they come hand and hand. I Was just questioning Its Fit. If it was indeed the right size of belt and was for the 4g63T motor.. I havent seen anyone running a mopar timing belt or heard of anyone running it. I was thiking maybe it was a mopar belt for the n/t 2.0 chrysler motors. But I did install it last night and timed everything loooks great :)

To be on the safe side you should keep mitsu with mitsu and mopar with mopar. Even though it fit you might have some problems down the road. Note: 420a engine and the 4g63t do not have interchangble parts. but hey if it works for you. Please be careful!

None out of the two Mopar part number searches I did recognized that part number.

Do you have another timing belt? Just see if it's the same size...

Unfortunately i do not have the old timing belt laying around it was a Gates that I Pulled off.. That part number is strange...I searched all over the net and nothing comes up. but The Dodge dealer told me that this is what they switched to and u can no longer buy the mitsubishi name belt. Also this Mopar Belt is made in Usa.. Which Im wondering who makes it for mopar..
