I just listed an ebay auction for some leather seat backs "backrest" part for the rear seat. I had the left and right side listed in seperate auctions. I listed them to fit all 2G Talon's and Eclipse's. This woman won my auctions and now she doesnt think they will fit her Eclipse since there from a Talon. She went to a Mitsubishi dealer to double check and they told her they would not work and that they are different. Is this right? They look like every Eclipse seat I've ever seen.

If you show me a pic, I can tell you if they're the same as mine. (someone else will probably just tell you of course.. )

My guess is the dealer is either just plain ignorant about it, or wants her to spend money with them.

Thats what I was thinking Here they are.

They'll work. Tell her you'll take them back if they don't fit (ONLY if they don't fit).

They do seem to be a little different as far as the pattern of the leather, but the shape's the same.. I'd do what Slipstream suggested, but there shouldn't be a problem. Feel free to show her my pic for comparison if you like.

i have a 96 eclipse i bought the leather seats out of a talon at a junk yard the back seats do fit but the only problem i had was myc ar was an rs with a one fold back seat so i to make two new holes for the middle parts to bolt to the back so itll stay there itll fit fine just gotta bolt it on if you dont have the braket but it definitly fits

my rear seat is actually from a talon. I traded my rear and some money to get a reupholstered rear but got ripped off. Never got anything. So I had to go find a new seat. All I could find in good shape was a talon. :thumb:

Thanks for the info guys. I just found out that she had the one piece rear seat back, not the two piece like I'm selling. Sounds like she may be able to drill and tap a bolt hole to make it work. I dont know if that will fly for her though. Thanks for all the help!
