* I've been searching all over on everything turbo and I'd like some help picking one for my car. I have all the free mods and stock MAS mods and a MBC if it helps the decsion any. I'm looking to be in the intermidiate crowd of eclipses as a goal with this turbo in terms of mods. Specificaly I've been looking at the T25 bc of the easy of bolting it on if correct, and then I was looking at other options such as the 16G and 20G... What turbo should I get if I'm in the market for these price range turbos... a key factor... I'm looking for used only btw, I need a good price to HP gains ratio, how does the T25 easyness on bolting on and the final price of the project compare to the 16 and 20g and all the extra things you need for the swap? and finally the 16G does come on the turbo 1G's right?

14bs come standard on the early 1Gs. A 16g is an upgrade. The EVO Big 16g is a nice turbo to have on a everyday street car that will put down 12 second times at the track with proper suporting modifications. The EVO16G is the smallest I would go with. It really all depends on what you want to do with the car. If you have suporting mods and have something to tune with the 50 trims are a more agressive street turbo but require a front mount intercooler the 16Gs dont unless you plan on running 18 psi+ of boost then a front mount is nessasary to cool the incoming air more efficently.

If you're a 2g you already have a t25, and if you're a 1g then the t25 would be a downgrade. I'm assuming you ment T28 which is an easy bolt on for the 2g's and is somewhat comprable to a big 16g, not a bad mid-range turbo. I liked mine while I had it but it wasn't enough for me :) Anyhow the evoIII 16g seems to be all the rage right now but if you're looking for used you'll see 16g's and the like in the classifieds or on the trader from time to time.

Thanks you guys, I think that my choice will be the EVO 16g, I see that the trend is that the t28 is a lower choice of power, one additional question though: I read the vfaq on the intall of the 16g and I understand what I need pretty much, the turbo, a kit, but do I have to get a EVO manifold for the turbo to sit upon or will it bolt up to my 2g mani?
