Took off my FR tire the other day and noticed that out of 4, 3 shocks are OEM and one is a gr-2. who does that? =P Anyways.
I know the pics arn't the greatest. but they're the best my camera phone can do ;X I'll get a real camera from home and try to take some better pics.

The piece i'm trying to identify is the 'broken' thing behine the brake hose. (you might have to turn up your brightness + contrast.)

Thanks,

Replacing shocks with GR-2s is standard practice by many Mitsu dealers. They did it to my car, too.

I'm sorry I can't tell what your pictures are showing.

I can't tell either. Can you see it in this picture?

It looks like you're wondering about the wobbly surface of a sub frame bushing. What you are seeing is just the outside surface of it. The rubber in the center is probably fine but if you're worried you can pull the nut off and take a closer look.

I'll take better pictures (with a light or flash) so it's easier to see. I'll also cut down the resolution ;D But that rubber in the center is torn, and theres a thing that looks like a huge washer underneath the rubber and its bent. I compared it to the left front and it shouldn't be looking like that ;X.

I need to know what it is so I can fix it ;P. Whenever I'm on the brakes, medium or heavy, I hear a loud 'knock' from the FR area. Not just one single knock, but it coincides with unevenness in the road. The 'knock' is felt almost throughout the car. I'm thinking this might have something to do with it.

Sorry to be vague, suspension isn't my forte :dsm:

Chris.
