These are for a 7-bolt, unknown if it is for a 1G or 2G (car is a 2G, but it isn't the original engine)

Pistons say "TAE" on one skirt, "MI23T" on the other. Rod says "G6 T"

I suspect the rods are stock and the pistons are stock replacements. I know they are .020" oversize.

Thanks

Topline pistons, they don't have a separate 1g and 2g 7 bolt piston, they split the diff at 8:1. look like stock 7 bolt rods.

6bolt rods. And lI thought it ooks like regular overbore 1g NPR pistons, based on the dish. NPR is the manufacturer of oem pistons for Toyota and Mitsu and other auto manufacturers. But I can't remember if npr has the raised disk in the center of the piston or not like the originals. But the dish is certainly bigger than a 2g pistons so that is ruled out for sure. . . I'm sure Oliver knows more about the difference between topline and NPR than me. . .

****Edit: Nevermind they are NOT npr. I remember doing a stock rebuild awhile back and they looked exactly like stock pistons in the dish. NOT like the above.

I actually think they are 1g 7 bolt rods, I would need to do a little digging to verify but if they were 6 bolt they would have to be modified for the journal width and pin diameter. That very well could have been done, I don't know.

I know they are topline 7 bolt pistons because of the part number cast inside the piston :shhh:

Edit: After some more review it does look like the pistons have been machined on the big end to fit a 7 bolt crank. I change my answer to 6 bolt rods.
