Help identifying reground cams

Hello All,

I think I might have been taken for a ride (In a bad way). I bought a set of regrounded 272 webcams from a guy in my area. When I got home they appear similar to the stock turbo cams meaning markings and all. Since the regrounds is made from the stock cams the markings would be similar, but is there a way to tell the difference between a reground cam and the stock one. I don't won't to install these in the car if it is not going to make a difference. I know I should have bought them from a shop but the cams were local and the price was reasonable so I was like what the heck let's go for it. Any help would be appreciated.

Without special tools to measure the cam lift and duration, you'd be hard pressed to tell what cams (reground or not) you have just by looking.

If they are indeed WebCams, your friend should have a cam card listing the specifics. At the least the cams should have a S/N etched on them which you could call Web and ask them to cross-reference.

I did find a S/N etched the end of the cam where the CAS goes. I will call Webcams in the morning and see if they can cross ref the cam
