420A Help identifying noise

98 2G 420a here. When i turn on the fan/ac a noise that sounds like a bird chirping can be heard. About a year ago i had an issue related to the power steering that caused a worse issue and produced a similar noise but this noise is not that harsh, its just a quiet but noticeable chirping noise. I’m thinking it could be the accessory belt but i also am not ruling out the ac compressor given the age of the car. Any advice on what the noise could be would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't sound like a typical belt squeal. The bearings in the compressor may be suspect.

Thank you for the reply. I don’t suppose you know how many bearings the compressor needs? Also it seems that Rockauto doesn’t display the bearings on the Eclipse, so i’m looking at it via the Avenger, i’d imagine it would make no difference using a bearing for the Avenger since both had the 420a, i assume they also use the same AC compressor.
