I'm using cams that were in the motor when I got it. No idea what they are.
I did drive it before and they felt like stockers....probably are but just want to make sure. Also running "Fidanaza" cam gears and I have no idea if they are genuine either. When the T-belt went on all the marks seemed like they are in the right spot. dowel pins at 12 clock when at TDC.
When I set up a degree wheel and dial gauges I get 274 duration for both with ~54 ish overlap and a LSA of ~110 ish.
Intake:
Open:23 BTDC
Close:71 ABDC
Exhaust:
Open: 62 BBDC
Close: 32 ATDC
I am measuring at the rocker and with a 0.001" dial gauge so as soon as it moves a hair I marked it on the degree wheel. I bled my lifters and primed the system with a big drill....had the oil gauge pegged at 60-70 psi for a solid 5 mins. Lots of flow out the lifters but they all still have a tiny little air in them. I would have rather measured from the valve tip but due to the air the rocker would have to take up that slack and move much earlier than the valve. Hence why I measured off the rocker.
I think maaaaaaybe I am measuring the valve events wrong or misinterpreting the results? I dunno...but lemme know.
Also here's some pics to help. All markings are in the pics.
