HELP. I think my car is toast.

Well what a great start of beautiful friday. So as i'm on my way back home at the last trafficlight, i see the temp needle go up rapidly, so i was like WTF. It was close to home so i drove there anyways (it was like 500 feet), but as soon as i pull into my parking spot i shut the car off, and smoke just starts going EVERYWHERE, i wait a little open up the hood and theres coolant EVERYWHERE!!!
Well at first i thought maybe one of the hoses blew (that happened to me before a while ago) so i'm thinking no biggie. I check the hoses and they appear to be FINE . So can you tell me what might of happen, i know its now alot of detail but i cant think of anything right now, im pretty piseed off, i was suppose to drive my car back home on monday i guess im flying now!
If this helps anymost of the coolant is by firewall? would a blow headgasket do that kinda shit . DAMN THAT CAR>>> im pissed sorry for typos and such, im off tio the ####ing rescue

Check the hoses that run into the car through the firewall they go to the heater core. It's very possible one of those hoes has a tiny crack or something. Coolant is under a good amount of pressure and can make huge leaks out of tiny holes. Fill the system back up and feel around and look for leaks. You can also rent a presurizer for the coolant system at auto places.

Presurize the coolant system and coolant will spray out of leaking area.

Hey Prez another question for you, lets say you are right. If i put the heater on it souldnt work right? i mean cold air comes out as if it was on Cold setting but its not.

Well that would be because you have no coolant.

But yes that would mean coolant is dumping out before it gets to the heater core. Seriouslly check the two hoses the go into the fire wall. They are a bi*** to get to if you don't take the stuff off the top of the fire wall above those hoses.

I would first fill the system and pressurize it while it is suspended by jack stands and see where it starts squirting from.

Hey man i did what you said and i found the problem It was actually not the hoses by the firewall those are alright, thank god.
It was a tiny one on the front side of the block (ill attach a picture).
I gotta say ilove you man, i was scared there for a sec. HUGE THANKS TO YOU BUDDY!

Good to hear man get a ne whose on there and burp the coolant system and test it out. Hopefully it didn't get to hot and warp your head or something but you should be ok.
