HELP Head bolts!!!!

I need to know where i can get a socket for the head bolts.I checked with my local auto parts and thery didnt have one.And couldnt get me one. I called the dealer but no luck either. Could you give me the name of it.It looks like a star socket... Thanks

Your car should have the internal hex head bolts. What I did was buy a cheap set of allen keys and find the one that fit the bolt. Then I but a hacksaw to the straight end of the allfen key and but it in a 1/2 drive socket that fit it tightly, and vola no need to call snap on. However if it is a star type that is a Torque spit bolt, you are going to need the special torque spit socket to take it out.

have you checked a home improvement place such as home depot or Lowe's? They usually have something if I can't find it anywhere else. If you got a pic of the bolt we'd be able to tell if it's a torque spit or hex. Walmart sometimes has both types of sockets (yes, you read that right, stanley tools, they're pretty decent)

Got mine at sears. Allen head "socket".

Allen head socket is correct, and its a 10mm for reference. I got a complete set of allen head sockets, in 3/8 size from my local auto parts store less then $20. Its a good set, and I find myself using the 6, 8, and 10mm all the time on my DSM.

Is there only one auto parts store where you live? I suggest searching at some more auto stores if you can. Everyone has the set around where I live, which includes Autozone, Ridge and Kramer, Napa, Carquest, Chet Nichols, and Lowes and Home Depot. Shit, I even have some at work, and I work at a Farm store. They really should be an easy item to find. I def. know sears has them.

Just use an allen wrench with a breaker bar, thats what I did.

i got my chilton manual the head bold are torx head bolts thanks for the info
