hey if any one has any ideas's i am all ears i was driving around 55mph 2 weeks ago when all of a sudden my car over heated i shut it off flat bedded it home and found my serpintine belt shredded well i looked down the next morning and saw my harmonic balancer pulled out a lil so i thought no big deal but then i got a better look at it the next day and my balancer is pulled off my block about 1 5/8inch .... and i think the splines i am seeing are my crank or timing gear for my belt if anyone has any ideas let me know asap ### i can show pix if needed .......................
my car is a 1991 gsx 6 bolt just in case ya needed that info

your car is a 91. 20 years old. i think its time to change that pulley =]

Taxes and bad harmonic dampers. Two sure things in life. Make sure no parts of the shredded belt get behind and up into the timing belt. That would be bad mojo. If you are unsure, you might have to take off the cover just to cover your assets. Better that than the nasally whine you could hear when you crank an engine with bent valves.

Good Luck
