help!! greddy type-s!!

Hey guys, I need help real bad.

The other night I was messing with my greddy's adjustment screw trying to find the perfect allen wrench to keep in my glove box incase something happened while I was on the road. Well, apparently the ones I thought weren't moving it, were moving it so my screw is completely out of wack. Well, my BOV is stuttering now, and I asked a few guys fromt his forum and they said it was cuz it's too hard right now. Well, I turned it soft, and softer... and a little softer everytime I drove until I got to about the point when the adjustment screw is barely in the hole anymore, and it looks completely different than the stock setting.

I was wondering, if any of you kick ass people out there.. with a greddy.. at stock adjustment settings could quickly messure the distance from the top of the lock nut to the top of the screw. I would appreciate it so much, and yes I know all settings are different for each car, but so far I've heard that the stock setting on the screw works for most all people, so I wanna try that again.

from the top of the nut to the end of the screw is 11mm on my car.

okay.. well.. i set it at 11 mm, and it sounded a lot closer to what it was suppose to sound like, except.. it still shuttered for like 1 second and then it whistled. So it's not perfect, well.. I softened it slightly and it full on shuttered. I hardened it slightly more and full on shuttered. I'm getting so pissed off it's not even funny.

Any suggestions? (I know there's a post on how to calibrate it perfectly for your car but not all of the replies agree with it (boost leak))

I put one on a friends car too and we didnt even adjust it, just slapped it on and it worked perfectly.... how do you have your vacuum hoses set up, i dont think you need to mod it, i think its a problem in your setup.

From what I have read you can play with it all day, and in order to have it tight enough to hold a good amount of boost you will have to put up with a little surge at lower pressure. Also that guid from Wobble doesnt work for everyone, like myself who can not see the plunger move at all. I know that doesnt help alot but welcome to the world of the always having to adjust the BOV..my hell..and your now..

I have mine set with like a4 or 5 threads showing. It seems to work great for me. You might try that.
