If your profile is up to date, the answer is soft.
A softer setting releases pressure quicker to kill compressor surge, but holds less pressure before leaking.

Either what delta said or make it into a pop-off valve, just connect the lower port to a line that doesn't see vacuum (i.e. the line going from the j-pipe to the wastegate or make a port on the upper intercooler pipe before the TB) what this does is help your BOV stay close, but it does lessen the duration of the BOV staying open when it vents. Dejon makes modifications to 1G BOV's like these.
