Okay, I know it's probably been said 1000th's of times, but currently I'm sitting on my rump, in gravel, smiting ant's cause my DSMLink is being a BUGGER. Now it worked fine at my friends place, albeit I had to lift his computer system out the widow for it too work, IT worked. Now I'm trying this with a MAC OS X ver. 10.8.4 so I try to fire it up and it gives me this.

/dev/cu.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync: Trying to connect
/dev/cu.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync: No response received!
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-Modem: Trying to connect
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-Modem: Port is in use by app 'Unknown Application'
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync: Trying to connect
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync: No response received!
LOG MSG: Action raised exception

So, I've tried looking the forums about this nothing. I am using a DYNEX USB-Serial port thing. tried looking At the ECMTuning Knowledge base, nothing on Mac just Windows.

So if ya'll could point me to the right way, or maybe I'm not searching hard enough? LOL if ya'll can help me would be much appreciated.

Try squeezing the cable box hard while you're trying to connect? I'm a Windows user with my laptop so I'm not familiar with the Mac connection issues but I've had problems with my cable in the past, squeezing it fixed it.

Yep. The box on the cable the has ECMLink etched in it with the green light. Squeeze it hard with your hand and see if you can get it to start connecting...

Sounds strange but try it. That's what did the trick and fixed mine, now its got about 3 zip-ties squeezing it until I can get it off to ECMLink to be replaced.

Make sure it's searching the correct port on your computer.

That will be next. but my 'knowledge with Mac's are limited,ESPECIALLY with port's.
So im gonna go back out Give the squeeze test ago, if it solves the problem Then were all good. If not, Uh how would i check the ports.

Check the system profiler for the USB devices, don't currently have an OSX box in front of me to check, but it should show up there.

Okay im at the USB Device Tree. All it give me is...

USB BUS
BRCM2070HUB
BlueTooth USB Host Controller
AppleInternal Keypad

USB BUS
USB Hi-Speed BUS
USB H-Speed BUS
Built in ISight.

That is my reenactment of the USB Device Tree. So now I will do this :idontknow: This went from Groveling in gravel to Groveling on my front bumper. LOL. The Squeeze method did not work.

Do you see the cable being picked up in the finder or on one of your buses?

Just to make sure, you have installed the drivers and the latest version of link off of their website correct?

Trying to cover the basics because I have not had any issues since I reinstalled the software and started using my MAC.
