Help! Coolant issue, Coolant pressure? Pics Inside

So just finished my 6 bolt swap on my 1999 gst. Got moter from chang's, starts idles perfect! But took for a couple test drives get back and see the top(upper radiator hose) was almost rock hard! Didnt suspect much because i have herd Dsm's have a coolent presure of 13psi. So i removed thermostat to keep cooler anyway. Went for a drive today and on the hiway the Upper radiator hose actually blew off the radiator. I tryed switching radiator cap flushed system refilled with new fluids. So my question is, Am i sappose to have that much preasure? Is my head gasket pushing coolent?(not boosting over 5 psi) Or do i have blockage issue or did i reverse some coolent line? i'll try to get some pics up of my coolent lines etc.. Thanks guys

i would check for a blockage. 13-15 psi thats normal for coolant pressure. make sure you didnt put hearter hose on backwards to.

Your radiator cap controls the pressure. If the upper hose popped off, it was simply too loose. Rock hard and hot is normal.

how would i put the heater hoses on back wards? one go's to the lower pipe the other go's to the top one.? any diagrams out here ? i tryed looking didnt see any

Unrelated to your issues but put your damned thermostat back in. It's there to keep your engine at operating temp. Below the operating temp your engine does not burn fuel as efficiently (read less torque and more unburned gas) and you do much more wear and tear to the internal components.

Mine started off like this too. I ended having to change the head gasket. Do a leak down test.

Were you "pushing coolent" ?? I have a few locals say change the cap? its not letting preasure out?
