Aight first off i have a 91 awd talon and i broke a rear drivers side axle off in the diff....so i replaced it then i was driving my car and gettin on it and rippin it and everything was fine...

then my car started bucking and i could tell it was my intercooler pipe that came off so i pulled over and put it back on and then.....HERE IS WHERE THE PROBLEM STARTED!!!

i started it back up and i had a really bad vibration at idle to 2000 rpms, i pushed the clutch in and the car stalled then i started it back up and then it stalled again and again over and over when i pushed in the clutch...i was able to rev it up and make it not stall and then i drove it back to my friends house...

when i got there it was still stalling out and i went in his house for about an hour, i came out and all the gear oil from the tranny was on the ground...

now...

i pulled the tranny and the clutch assembly out and i cant figure out where the tranny is leaking from and the tranfer case splines are smashed in the transfer case...

and...

the springs in the clutch disc are loose as hell and they shake around and move if i shake the clutch...

im trying to figure out what was making my car stall and what would make the springs in the clutch disc do this???

any feedback is appreciated!! :talon:

by the way the tranny is a stock tranny and the clutch was a act super street with a 2600 pressure plate...

What kind of clutch are you running? The stock clutch in these cars is garbage! I have seen one of my friends scatter the springs in his every 5 months before he agreed with me that the clutches where junk. As far as the diff., I don't know. I have not played with the AWD DSM's much.

Turboinside is right about the gsx's having weak trannys. this is the only draw back that i have seen about this car. this same sorta thing happend to me one night after i had been driving pretty hard. the difference between me and u is that im not turboed. i found that i could start my car and the car just idoled and then killed. we are alike in that i could keep the rpms up and the car wouldnt die. finally i found that a tube for my CAI had slipped off and wasnt connected. i reconnected it and the car ran fine. i realize that this has nothing to do with the tranny but maybe thats a different problem that your car has. i would check over the engine and make sure everythings cleaned out and all connected. hope this helped!
