Ugh, this morning upon driving to school, I was in stop and go traffic and went to shift from neutral to first when all of a sudden my clutch just like dropped to the floor. I pulled it back up with the heel of my toe and I went to try to shift but the shifter wouldn't slide into any gear. I was freaking out. On top of that, it was extremely difficult pushing the clutch pedal to the floor. It felt like it weighed a ton! I had to pull over to the side. I finally managed to get the car to start up after literally putting all my weight onto the clutch pedal and I limped home. I have trouble shifting into any gear (like it requires alot of force which can't be good) and my clutch pedal is almost unresponsive. I have to floor the damn thing with all my might to get it to engage and disengage. Upon making it home, I could smell the clutch burning as a result of my forceful shifting and pedal pushing. Anyone know what the hell the problem could be? My car is sorta my daily driver, though I have a backup in case something goes wrong. Please help me out, thanks.

Hey, My 90 talon done the same exact thing 2 nights ago. I rebuilt my clutch slave cylinder and that didn't fix it so i had a mechanic check it out he said my clutch springs have seized therefore not letting it disengage. so if your problem is the same as mine all you need is a clutch.

Lol, ALL I need is a clutch? Damn it. I'm really hoping its either my throw out bearing or slave cylinder at this point. I just installed my current clutch last summer. Granted I went to the track a few times, how the hell could it just die on me so quickly?

I would bleed the clutch system first to make sure of no air in the line, clean the lines out too, and then give it a shot, that happened to my friend w/ his car. MUCH better than a clutch replacement..Cheaper too :thumb: haha
