Help! Clutch fork shimming confusion!

Hey everybody, I have been following TRE's instructions to shimming found here.

The question is: in the article he says two contradicting things! My fork looks exactly, EXACTLY like the photo posted in the article, but the photo says that positioning is okay. In his article, he says this photo is a fork that needs to be shimmed. I don't know which is right! Someone please give me
Insight, and clarify this. Thanks!
