here is my latest 3rd gear pull. i first tuned with a wideband and got it to 11.2 afr but now after hooking up the logger my timing went from 18 deg at 7K to 12 deg at 7K. when i was at 18 deg at 7K my afr was 9.1 so i was really rich. my highs on my safc were -38 across with the 9.1 so i had to take it to -48 on the safc highs to get the 11.2 afr but it took away my timing. so which is better, a good afr or good timing. i need both. anyway, here is my log.

Engine RPM, 2843, Ign. Timing Adv. 33.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.439,
Engine RPM, 2875, Ign. Timing Adv. 33.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.699,
Engine RPM, 2917, Ign. Timing Adv. 32.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.140,
Engine RPM, 3097, Ign. Timing Adv. 22.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.860,
Engine RPM, 3457, Ign. Timing Adv. 12.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.899,
Engine RPM, 4027, Ign. Timing Adv. 9.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.879,
Engine RPM, 4703, Ign. Timing Adv. 8.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.939,
Engine RPM, 5355, Ign. Timing Adv. 10.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.939,
Engine RPM, 6027, Ign. Timing Adv. 12.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.939,
Engine RPM, 6625, Ign. Timing Adv. 12.0, B1S1 O2 Voltage, 0.939,

this is with my safc highs at -48 from 4-7K.

That doesn't make sense that you took away more fuel with the piggy back and you are getting less timing advance. That is why a DSMlink is so valuable... You can set your AFR via the wideband by making fuel adjustments and start SLOWLY advancing your timing. That is how you make the most power...

What is your base timing set at?

yea, a friend with almost the same setup had his safc highs at -50 and was still to rich. he was running 13.8 @ 101. he got link and got his afr right and then forced timing. he's now running 12.4 @ 110. starting to think piggyback's kinda suck. havn't checked base timing yet. what should it be at? i was thinking 5 deg but i'm not sure. also, havn't installed my fpr yet. got 6 an lines on the way with a aeromotive fpr and russell hf fuel filter. think i could be overrunning my factory fpr. i've got 680cc PTE injectors with a walbro 255 fp.
