HELP car not making power

I just got my car tuned at a local tune shop and it seems weird that my car only made 265 to the wheels @20psi of boost with the current set-up....

Can someone help me because im sure this car should be making way more than 300+..could it be my ecu

Exactly thats why i was asking...i have stock block and nothing done to the heads and they said the reason for the low numbers were because the ecu was pulling back timing because the car was knocking...anyother takers?

Knock would def. cause you to get low numbers. You need to figure out why you're knocking, and do something to fix it.

I have no idea the tuner didnt say anything about codes just that the ecu was pulling the timing because there was knock in the motor...i just think im going to have to get a dsmlink instead of the afc

The only component that stands out to me is your injector size, and according to RC Fuel Injection (RC Fuel Injection), 550CC injectors are only expected to make about 305 BHP (274 WHP assuming a 10% loss from the crank to the wheels).

That HP number was obtained using:
B.S.F.C. = 0.55
# of Injectors = 4
Max IDC = 0.80

I personally don't have a lot of experience with the actual horsepower that 550CC injectors can support, but math usually gives pretty good estimates.

if i remember right i think that if you run too lean, that could create knock. but i would upgrade inj. if i was you. it would be a good first step.

I would say your starving the car of fuel. I don't see any fuel mods besides the fuel injectors. Get yourself a fuel pump and afpr.

Post up a log of your car. And who is this "local" tuner? If you are still running on the stock fuel pump, you should NOT go over 15psi.

As already mentioned, making sure there is enough flow to feed those injectors is just as important as the injector size when making big power. Along with a fuel pump and AFPR, an upgraded fuel filter and filter-to-rail line is also important in obtaining that required flow.

Thanks guys for trying to help out...i found out that the compression in my motor was shot!!...so i ordered new internals and rebuilding the heads...so I think that will do the trick
