Help 2g with a 6bolt swap

ok so i purchased a 95 talon tsi awd not running i got it to run by the next day had bad ground and viper alarm had a safety on it where it wouldnt let the car even turn over got rid of that... i got it to idle fine and running normal... but went to drive and the car would not exceed 3500 rpms ive checked all fuses relays,plugs and wires, sensors everything looks good, it has a standalone ecu (megasquirt II) im runing out of ideas so any help would be great

can a corupted tune file cause this?

Try running it back to its stock ECU. Or re-flash all of its settings.

its pretty hard to change back to stock ecu
im running mega squirt II also


i would start by checking the system and rev limitor maybe it might be stuck on a 2stage set up wich is a comman feature that ppl put into mega squirt ## rmp problem is it only at idle or did you take it out on the streets and still cnat get past 3500?
