In the Talon that I recently picked up I noticed from the very beginning that the clutch is nowhere near stock. I've had a 2100 before and this is about 2X-3X heavier. I dropped the Release fork boot and while the PP looks brand new, I can tell it's an ACT...likely a 2600?
Anyway, to my issue. The clutch seems like it's dragging. I can get all gears, but 3rd chirps and Rev grinds. I can press the pedal to the floor and slam the shifter into Reverse and it'll go, but when I let off the brake the car starts trying to roll backwards like I'm off the clutch slightly. I know this is obviously a sign that the clutch is not fully disengaged.
I have bled the Slave, adjusted the stopper for the pedal, and adjusted the Master Cylinder rod according to Jacks' tutorial. I am NOT disengaging completely. I really hate to think that the Release fork is bent, but when I look under the car it's centered like we preach to people to make sure it is. =/ It's not off to the passenger side or anything.
I've never dealt with a clutch this heavy. There's no play in the pedal assembly, but it takes about a quarter inch while pressing the clutch pedal for the rod to push in enough on the master cyl for it to start tightening up.
Any ideas?
