Heat soak?

So i let a friend barrow my car... First problem... He slammed my front mount into something. He claims he doesn't know what. Neither one of us can afford to replace it so i put my stock side mount back on it. I am running a 90 gst with a small 16g, evo 560s, wally 255, and an AEM tru boost, on a 2nd gen maf with a keydriver chip. I was running 18lbs on my car with no knock just fine. The other night i was on my way home and a guy in a mustang was riding me getting on the freeway so i opened it up and made him cry while spinning the tires in 3rd(front wheel drive is fun). When he finally grew the balls to pull up next to me at 55 on the freeway with no one around he wanted to run again so i figured why not... put the car in 3rd honked 3 times and left him again. shifted into 4th at 6300 and it hit full knock on my gauge so i got out of it quick. Car was running fine drove home no problem. logged it the next day and the same thing on my 3rd pull but everything looks good on the log except the knock. So i turned the boost down to 12lbs and keep my foot out of it. Is this heat soak on my useless side mount?

You're going to get flamed from the "goodies" on here for posting a racing story but I'm all for it as long as it wasnt in thick traffic or anything.

I agree about the hole racing thing its meant for the track but i had to ask. Thanks for confirming that for me. And how many dsm drivers wouldn't have done the same thing with some guy and his pretty new GT... Doesn't make it right though... .
