As the states...after I drive my car and park it, the head lights will just come on, thus killing my battery.

I have no idea why or how this is happening.

They dont even turn off with the switch!

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

When I remove the Headlight fuse, the battery light comes on inside the car...

The only time I couldn't turn off my headlamps, was directly related to charred circuitry in my DRL Module, usually found on canadian made dsm's. Not sure about your dsm

Where is the headlight relay?

I hate electrical problems. These are the worst.

Driving around, the headlights will flash at times, on and off.

in the fuse box under the hood, i think 2gs have a right and a left cant remember...by what you are describing sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere man, but just check your relay, switch it with a known good one (horn relay) if it works

DOH, sorry for the stupid question.

I will switch replays at lunch.

Is it normal for a ground issue to just pop up like that? I haven't really don't anything with the car lately.

Alright, I purposely left work for lunch today.

I got to the parking garage, started the car, popped the hood and re-installed the headlight fuse. I had been removing it so that my battery wouldn't die.

I re-installed the fuse and the headlights cam back on. I took the fuse out, switched the horn relay with the headlight relay, re-installed the fuse and the lights came back on...I was not happy.

So I head out to get food. On the drive I am getting close enough to the cars ahead of me to see if my lights are on. They start working correctly with the switch...hmmm. The rest of the lunch drive and when I parked the car the lights where working correctly.

So idk?!?!

I removed the fuse and the relay in question again, and brought them into work. Last night, I parked the car and they where working correctly, after a few hours I noticed them on, but it was to late, battery couldn't start her.

Im going to try tonight to see if the relay swap worked. This way the car will be in my sight.

When my headlights wouldn't turn off, When I unpulgged the drl module the lights went out. If you have one it would be located in front of the drivers side tire, just inside the splash cover. This would be a small box 2*2*3 with an electrical harness. The part number mb875985 or something. I think my problem was the highbeam wouldn't turn off but headlights worked normally.

Turned out to be a loose connection in one of the plugs near the clutch pedal.

So if anyone has an issue like this, inspect everything around the area that is causing or influencing the problem.
