2G Hatch and brake lights staying on

On my eclipse my hatch brake light is staying on and also my brake lights. I can take fuse out and it will go off. I put back in it goes on. Even if the hatch is closed the light is still on. My dsm is a 95 eclipse gsx. I did a conversion and got a hatch off a 97-99 eclipse. I look at wiring diagrams also has anyone had this problem. Thank you

Definitely use that link ^^^
If that doesn't work, recheck your work and see if you caused a short somewhere, likely short to voltage where it's being supplied with power even when it shouldn't be.

Also, since you swapped the hatches, did you swap the latch "U"-bolt too?

That’s a good link. The stopper is most likely broken and missing. It looks like a body panel clip in most cases.
