Well, I finally got to drive the talon around last night. I havnt driven it in about 5 months, so it was good to get it out.

My problem is my headlights. I have tried different bulbs in them and they are still dim. All my other interior lights, gauges and radio work fine. Its just the headlights. I would say a ground, but with the rest of my lights all functioning properly, I havnt done it.

The funny thing is, last year, I had hid's in the car and they seemed fine. i took those out and put them in the evo. So why can my car power hid's but not regular halogens?

The stock headlights suck. Especially when the lenses get foggy/turn yellow. Are you sure this isn't their normal (crappy) light output? Have you checked your battery voltage with the engine running?

I have yet to get my hands on a DVOM. I have the crystal clear lenses for the car. So it shouldnt be the lenses.

Do the headlights get brighter when accelerating or are they constantly dim? If they do I would check the battery and ground wire as well as terminals for corrosion and wear being that the headlights will draw more amperage than the other lights.

If not I would say to check the harness side of the headlight connectors for a good solid 12v with a digital or analog volt meter, If your not getting 12v it could be a faulty headlight switch or the contacts in it could be corroded. Thats just a guess as both headlights are dim if it was just one i would suspect wiring or harness issues.

Yea they stay dim the whole time. They may get a little bit brighter, but still not where they need to be.

It just doesn't make since why the hids I had in there where plenty bright. I might just have to get another set of hids. That seems to be the answer maybe.

i dont mean to insult you or your intelligence but maybe you got used to seeing the birghtness of the hid and the halogens just suck?

I was kinda thinking that. I do remember before I got the hids, the headlights I had in the car seemed to be real dim. I thought it was just cause I had cheap bulbs. The bulbs that are in the talon now are the sylvania ultra white bulbs that I pulled out of the evo.

It just seems extremely dim. I just dont wanna shell out $85 for another Sharphid kit right now. The way the car is, I dont even wanna drive it at night.
