Hi guys i already searched and couldnt find specific information for my question. Is it possible to splice into the 1GA wiring for the headlights so that the gauges can be illuminated at night? It just seems like a waste for the bulb to be on during the daytime which may lead to burnout.

You wouldn't want to tie into the headlights per say. More like the dash lights so that way you can still dim the light with the knob. There has to be a write up about it somewhere. Take out the headlight portion of your search and add like dimmer switch or something with boost gauge light install to gauge cluster lights. Good luck!

I wouldn't worry about the bulb burning out. There are so many other issues with the gauges that will cause it to need to be replaced before it would ever burn out.

Ok thanks for the responses guys, electrical is not my thing. Ill read over the dimmer switch thread. Is it ok to wire multiple gauges(4) into the same power wire? I know they aren't a huge draw but i rather do it once than twice.
