i just skimmed through this dont know if anyone told you once you have the engine tdc and line up all timming marks it is a good idea to use 2 small spring clips to hold the belt on the cam gears dont quote me but i think the intake side will jump a tooth if you have nothing to hold them or its the exhuast side cant remember

just saw you have a non turbo pretty sure its the same but could be wrong
 
very interesting, thanks for the tip, I'll look into it and keep it in mind, I've got some springs hanging around i could probably work something out for it.
